Why Soy?
A soy candle is made from soy wax, which is derived from soybeans. Soy wax is a natural, renewable resource. and burns cleaner than traditional candles
Do Soy Candles Last Longer?
Yes, Soy wax burns at a lower temperature which means longer burn times and better value per candle
Why Does my Soy Candle Look Frosted or Uneven?
This is completely normal. Soy wax is natural and can show texture changes, especially with temperature shifts. These do not affect the performance of the scent throw
Is Soy Wax Safe for my Pets?
Soy wax is a cleaner-burning option and free from paraffin. They are generally considered pet friendly when lit in a well ventilated space. Please do not leave candles unattended around pets.
Our Scents
Nope, Our candles do not smell like wet dog. In fact, we try to find scents that will appeal to everyone. Offering a variety of floral, bakery and spa like scents.
Why Black Dog?
We have always been dog lovers and have adopted several rescue dogs over the years. Through a desire to help more animals, we have created The Black Dog Candle Shoppe. We decided on the name Black Dog due to the “Black Dog Syndrome”.
Black dogs are often the last dogs to be adopted and as a result tend to stay in shelters longer, and are euthanized more often than other dogs.
We are excited to offer 100% natural scented soy candles, and for every candle sold 10% of the proceeds will be donated to local animal rescues.
