Meet Christine

Welcome! I have always been a dog lover and have adopted several rescue dogs over the years. Through a desire to help more animals, I have created The Black Dog Candle Shoppe.

Why Black Dog

I decided on the name Black Dog due to the “Black Dog Syndrome”. Black dogs are often the last dogs to be adopted and as a result tend to stay in shelters longer and are euthanized more often than other dogs.

For every candle sold 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) located in Pontiac Michigan.

Our Candles

We use 100% natural soy in our candles. Soy provides a cleaner healthier burn. Our candles are long lasting and will burn approximately 70 hours if used correctly.
